"Mule-Hide identified an unmet market need for an affordable, easy to install, fire rated roof deck assembly for commercial modular structures. Modular manufacturers were seeking an assembly that could withstand high winds and fire while providing superior performance at a lower installed cost. Mule-Hide set out to design an assembly to meet emerging modular roofing code requirements for a Class C or A rated commercial roof deck assembly and identified International Barrier and its proprietary Blazeguard® fire resistant treatment as a key partner. After rigorous testing, the Blazeguard treatment applied to a single OSB deck board resulted in a fire resistant deck panel with superior performance and turned a five-step application into four. Mule-Hide entered into a private label agreement with Barrier to manufacture the panel under the name Mule-Hide® FR Deck Panel, sold exclusively to the modular roofing industry. Mule-Hide roofing systems are the number one choice of modular manufacturers and we anticipate the FR Deck Panel to position us for significant expanded revenue and market share in this segment.
